Teakdecking Systems (TDS) changed the way boat decks were built by introducing novel Swedish technology to the marine industry in 1983. Since that time, the well-managed, self-funded, employee-owned organization has continued to serve a traditional market with innovation, and corporate social responsibility. 

When caulking products in the market could not meet TDS quality standards, the team developed a proprietary formulation. The same is true for decking adhesives and cleaners. Even competitors purchase these products to build and maintain their decks. The US government only entrusts TDS products for iconic museum battleship repair and restoration.

When customers started asking for composite decking alternatives, TDS sourced high-quality materials and added these decking materials options for customers.

Teak is legally-sourced from South-East Asia, verified by DNA tracing, and TDS wood experts personally select the timber. 

All work performed by TDS is fully warrantied, and just as the products are supported, so are the employees. As part of an ESOP, the diverse groups of 100+ employees receive some of the most generous benefits of companies in the local community. With time, they become vested in the company.
